Plastic developing tray (8x10)

A shallow rectangular tray that holds water or chemicals for photographic processing. Lets you fully submerge and agitate prints without folding or creasing them.

What to look for

  1. 1At least 8×10 inches internally—measure the bottom, not the rim
  2. 2Rigid plastic that won't buckle when you lift a full tray
  3. 3Ribbed or textured bottom so prints don't suction flat
  4. 4Pouring spout in one corner for easy drainage

Skip

  • Trays smaller than your paper size—prints will curl up the sides
  • Thin flexible plastic that spills when you carry it

Used for: Rinsing cyanotype prints · Washing watercolor paper · Developing black-and-white film contact sheets
