Blank ID badge cards

Plastic card stock compatible with most ID printers, or writable with permanent markers for simple name/role tags. Durable enough for lanyards and repeated use, lets teams create official-looking role badges without expensive custom printing.

What to look for

  1. 1CR80 size (credit card dimensions, fits standard badge holders and lanyards)
  2. 230mil thickness (sturdy enough for repeated handling, not flimsy)
  3. 3White or light-colored surface if writing with markers (darker colors need printer-compatible film)
  4. 4Pre-slotted or compatible with standard hole punches for lanyard attachment

Skip

  • Inkjet-only cards if you're using permanent markers (coating won't absorb ink properly)
  • Glossy finish cards without stating marker compatibility (most markers bead up and smudge)

Used for: Creating rotating role badges for team activities · Color-coding team members in crowded public spaces · Designing dry-erase checkpoint cards for reusable challenges · Making official-looking credentials for roleplay scenarios
