Bike radar detection system

A rear-facing radar that detects cars approaching from behind and alerts you through a handlebar display or connected device. Reduces constant shoulder-checking on busy roads.

What to look for

  1. 1Detection range of at least 140 meters to give meaningful warning time
  2. 2Ability to track multiple vehicles simultaneously (at least 5–8 cars)
  3. 3Compatibility with your existing bike computer or smartphone for alerts
  4. 4Integrated tail light that increases flash rate when vehicles approach

Skip

  • Systems requiring subscription fees for basic functionality
  • Units without any standalone alert mode (needing a separate display to be useful)

Used for: riding high-traffic routes with less neck strain · staying aware in loud environments where you can't hear engines
