35mm film developing tank kit

A light-tight plastic tank with spiral reels that lets you develop film in normal room light after initial loading. Processes 1-2 rolls per session and pays for itself after 5-10 lab orders.

What to look for

  1. 1Processes at least 2 rolls simultaneously
  2. 2Adjustable reels for both 35mm and 120 film
  3. 3Clear volume markings for chemistry
  4. 4Watertight seal (but don't invert during agitation)
  5. 5Heat-resistant plastic rated to 120°F

Skip

  • Single-roll tanks (inefficient for regular shooting)
  • Designs requiring full tank inversion (leak risk)
  • Reels with difficult film-loading mechanisms

Used for: Home film processing to cut per-roll costs · Custom development for experimental techniques · Processing bulk-loaded film · Learning analog workflow control
