QR code trails (pre-print and tape codes in public spots with clues to the next location). Physical challenges at checkpoints (10 jump squats, balance on a curb for 30 seconds). Mix digital and physical.

Set up your tech stack—create a shared map using GPS tracking apps that show all players in real-time. Generate your QR codes with embedded clues or point values. Program a timer system. If playing with teams, designate Discord or Telegram channels for coordination and trash talk.

Brief all players at the starting point—explain scoring rules, safety boundaries (no trespassing, watch for traffic), time limits per challenge, and how to verify completion (photo evidence, check-in codes). Hand out any physical items like challenge cards or team identifiers.

Run the game in rounds—start with a 10-minute sprint to hit three checkpoints. Second round adds puzzle elements requiring observation skills. Final round combines everything with bonus multipliers for style points. Keep each round 20-30 minutes with 5-minute breaks.

Score and debrief at a central location—tally points from GPS logs, photo submissions, and completed challenges. Crown winners, but more importantly, review the best moments, close calls, and creative interpretations of challenges. The rooftop parking deck on 5th usually has good views for postgame hangouts.
