Steel shooting targets

Reactive metal targets for projectile practice that ring or swing when hit, providing instant feedback for accuracy training. More durable and safer than improvised targets, designed to deflect shots downward.

What to look for

  1. 1AR500 or AR550 steel rated for your projectile type (pellets need 3/8" minimum, higher velocity needs thicker)
  2. 2Angled mounting that deflects impacts down into the ground, not back toward shooter
  3. 3Stable base or stand that won't tip from repeated hits
  4. 4Replaceable targets or modular design so you can swap damaged plates

Skip

  • Mild steel or unrated metal that will dent and crater quickly
  • Fixed flat mounting that ricochets projectiles unpredictably
  • Insufficient distance rating for your projectile velocity

Used for: Backyard accuracy drills with pellet guns · Slingshot target practice competitions · Reaction speed training with reactive targets · Distance shooting skill progression
